A former math teacher and self-proclaimed homebody, I’m an unlikely wanderer. However, a Fulbright teaching exchange to Scotland in the early nineties and, later, a 13-month travel sabbatical introduced me to the kind of freedom lacking in my career and inspired a life-altering urge to explore.
