I take the relationship that I have built with travelers seriously. Any travel articles, vacation advice, product reviews, or travel articles you read on EllenBarone.com will be honest and based on my opinion. My reputation depends on it.

Travel is my passion and my profession. I write, speak, photograph, and consult for various travel-related businesses and publications. This site, however, is a personal platform where I can share my expertise, opinions, vacation experiences, advice, and budget-saving recommendations that will help readers travel better, smarter, and more often.

Some of the products I review I’ve owned and used for years. Some I’ve recently bought at retail. I have received others for free from manufacturers trying to get feedback on their products. Sometimes I get these items as a loaner. Sometimes I give them away as prizes here or on other blogs I write for. Sometimes I keep using them, writing about them multiple times if I become smitten.

Regardless of the method of acquisition, I promise always to tell it like it is, giving you the pros and cons of each item. If a gadget doesn’t work right or is a pain to use, I’ll say so. And in general, I only agree to review items I think travelers will be interested in.

Sometimes articles on the site result from sponsored or partially sponsored press trips. However, you can be assured that my commitment is to journalistic integrity and writing the truth of experiences.
